The River Shannon - No other European river quite matches the majestic Shannon. You will be surrounded by wonderful scenery as you cruise to some stunning destinations.
Lough Key is encircled by the beautiful National Forest
Park at Rockingham and is only a three hour cruise from Carrick. Cruise
south to experience the peace and grandeur of Lough Ree and Lough Derg,
each over 20 miles long! Immerse yourself in Ireland's famous hospitality
along the way, with many welcoming and historic towns that simply must
be explored. Spend some time in a warm and friendly pub, enjoying the
'craic' with the locals! Once you have visited, it will be easy to see
why people keep returning to the Emerald Isle, year after year. There
are only six locks on the Shannon navigation, many stunning bridges and
an abundance of excellent quays and free moorings with all facilities.
The Ballinamore and Ballyconnell Canal The Shannon-Erne waterway between Leitrim and Upper Lough Erne is a dream to cruise. Recognised as the finest waterway restoration in Europe, it has many features that are sure to delight! The canal passes through little villages and gives you unrivalled access to markets, fêtes and parties that take place. Many of the possible stops have great pubs, where you can immerse yourself in an authentic Irish atmosphere. An electronic lock system takes the hard work out of the locks process and lets you relax as you pass down the canal.
Lower and Upper Lough Erne
The calm and sheltered waters of Upper Lough Erne are perfect for
those looking for a relaxing holiday. The Lower Lough is great for
those experienced cruisers, looking for a more adventurous cruise.

great shops, pubs and restaurants.

Ireland is an angler’s paradise! There is no close season for Pike
up to
50lb and specimen Perch, Bream, Rudd, Trout and Eels. Fishing is
best during April, May and September to November.
